Amber Flaherty, M.D., joined City of Hope® in 2023. As a medical oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Flaherty focuses her practice on the treatment and management of all types and stages of cancer, with specialized focus and expertise in genitourinary malignancies, such as prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular malignancies. She is triple board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology and is fluent in Spanish.
After receiving her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, Dr. Flaherty completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of South Florida Moffitt Cancer Center.
Dr. Flaherty is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and U.S. Genitourinary Cancer Research Committee. She strives to provide her patients with the support they need throughout their cancer journey, which includes providing access to leading-edge treatments, clinical trials and supportive care services to help patients maintain their quality of life.
