With nearly 20 years’ experience in the field of radiology, David J. Weitz, M.D., works closely with patients and their multidisciplinary care teams at City of Hope® Cancer Center Phoenix to accurately diagnose a wide range of cancers using advanced techniques, such as ultrasound and magnetic resonance biopsy. Dr. Weitz is committed to providing the best possible outcomes for each patient by employing innovations in imaging and diagnostic radiology approaches to cancer care.
Dr. Weitz earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. After a transitional year at the Mayo Clinic’s Graduate School of Medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona, he completed a radiology residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. A member of professional associations such as the American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America, Dr. Weitz is also a physician-scholar with multiple peer-reviewed publications to his name.
