Evan Mosier, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, specializing in gastroenterology. Committed to the prevention and early diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancers, Dr. Mosier takes a compassionate, person-centered approach to working with patients undergoing both screening and treatment. He believes strongly that patients must play an active role in their treatment and have the support they need to live an active and healthy life.
Dr. Mosier earned his medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu, then completed an internal medicine residency at LAC+USC Medical Center (now Los Angeles General Medical Center) and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Loma Linda University in San Bernardino, California.
Dr. Mosier also underwent additional training during his fellowship in gastrointestinal motility, focusing on advancements in diagnosing and treating motility issues such as swallowing and gut-transit disorders. He has additional skill sets in evaluating manometry, pH testing, and EndoFlip/EsoFlip. He is an active member in the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society (ANMS) and is board-certified in both gastroenterology and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine.
A physician-scholar, Dr. Mosier has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and was named “Fellow of the Year” during his fellowship at Loma Linda University.
