Iyad Hamarneh, M.D., is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Prescott, where he treats patients with breast cancer, lung cancer, melanoma, multiple myeloma and many other cancer types.
Dedicated to a compassionate, comprehensive approach to care, Dr. Hamarneh combines conventional and advanced cancer treatment options, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy, to ensure that each patient’s treatment plan is uniquely tailored to his or her diagnosis and individual needs.
Fluent in English and Arabic, Dr. Hamarneh earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan in Amman. After completing his internal medicine residency at the King Hussein Cancer Center, respected as the largest community organization in Jordan, he completed another internal medicine residency, at University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City, where he stayed to finalize his training with a hematology and oncology fellowship. A member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists and the American Society of Hematology, Dr. Hamarneh has held multiple leadership positions, including serving as president of the Northern Arizona division of an area oncology group.
