Lee Cranmer, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.P., is a professor and section chief of sarcoma medical oncology and vice chair of the Department of Medical Oncology for City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte clinical network, bringing a guiding hand and decades of experience to his work with every patient.
Dr. Cranmer attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego’s Medical Scientist Training Program. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and a fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Arizona Cancer Center in Tucson, where he then spent 15 years treating sarcoma and skin cancer patients. He also led the Sarcoma Program at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle, Washington.
A seasoned health care leader and a fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Cranmer has held multiple faculty positions at institutions throughout the Western United States and has served as principal investigator for more than 30 leading-edge clinical trials. He’s also a nationally recognized physician-scholar with nearly 100 publications to his name.
