Radowan Elnair, M.D., F.A.C.P.

Hematologist Radowan Elnair, M.D., F.A.C.P, is a bone marrow transplant specialist at City of Hope^® Cancer Center Phoenix. His clinical practice centers on the diagnosis and treatment of blood cancers, graft-versus-host disease and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy.

Dr. Elnair received his medical degree from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, then completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, followed by fellowships in hematology/oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska, and bone marrow transplant at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.

Prior to joining City of Hope, Dr. Elnair worked at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island, the state’s only blood and marrow transplant program. He served as associate director of the leukemia, blood and marrow transplant program. As director of the stem cell lab, he spearheaded expansion of the program and treated the first patients in the state with commercial chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy products (namely Yescarta^® and Carvykti^®), in addition to expanding the immunotherapy program.

In his free time, Dr. Elnair enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, playing and watching soccer. He also speaks Arabic.
