Sana Chaudry, M.D., M.B.B.S., brings her expertise as a pulmonary and critical care physician to patients undergoing treatment at City of Hope® Cancer Center Chicago. Dr. Chaudry is committed to providing streamlined care for a wide range of pulmonary health issues that may be caused by cancer or its treatments, collaborating with patients, their loved ones and their multidisciplinary care teams to offer a personalized approach to care.
A multi-linguist who is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi, Dr. Chaudry has expertise in procedures such as navigational bronchoscopy, tone beam imaging, pleural disease management and therapeutic thoracentesis. She also plays a key role in City of Hope Chicago’s Rapid Lung Nodule Diagnosis Program. Prior to joining City of Hope, she was a nocturnist and pulmonary and critical care physician at several institutions across Illinois.
After completing a bachelor’s program in surgery and medicine at Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan, Dr. Chaudry completed a general surgery residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and an internal medicine residency at Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. Her fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine took place at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals and Clinics in Milwaukee.
A member of professional associations such as the American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Chaudry’s clinical and teaching work has been recognized with multiple awards, and she has published peer-reviewed articles in numerous medical journals.
