Sanjit Datta, M.D., M.S., is an assistant professor of interventional radiology at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte. As a diagnostic and interventional radiologist, Dr. Datta uses advanced imaging approaches to diagnose and treat cancer, including minimally invasive techniques that help target tumors directly.
Dr. Datta’s approach to patient care balances the evidence-based expertise of a multidisciplinary care team with the goal of developing a personalized treatment plan for each patient. Dr. Datta is also an innovator whose work has helped advance interventional radiology techniques, including broadening the use of cone-beam computed tomography and integrating augmented reality into the interventional radiology suite.
A Los Angeles native, Dr. Datta earned his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, receiving an honors distinction in research. He completed his internship in general surgery and his integrated interventional and diagnostic radiology residency at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. His residency included dedicated training in oncologic imaging and interventional oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
