Medical oncologist and hematologist Sudarsan Vishnu Kollimuttathuillam, M.D., is determined to deliver patient-centered care by understanding each individual’s unique needs. He gives his all for patients, and receives so much in return; they inspire him to work harder and become a better human being. Excited to move beyond the chemotherapy paradigm, he places a priority on offering his patients access to innovative treatments and clinical trial options.
Dr. Kollimuttathuillan received medical training at Government Medical College, Kottayam, in India, with a residency at Seton Hall University and a fellowship at New York Medical College. His published research includes investigations into engraftment syndrome, a potentially serious side effect of blood stem cell transplantation, and a review of hematological complications in patients with COVID-19.
In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family, practicing mindfulness and playing chess.
