In her roles as assistant clinical professor in the Department of Medicine and a nocturnist, Thao Do, M.D., is dedicated to providing compassionate, highly personalized care for inpatients receiving cancer treatment at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte. Dr. Do is committed to ensuring that patients are treated with respect and thoughtfulness and that they receive the multidisciplinary care they deserve during overnight hospital stays.
Trained and board-certified in internal medicine and hospital medicine, Dr. Do was drawn to her specialty after a trip to South Africa during college. Working with pediatric tuberculosis patients and people living with HIV/AIDS in Cape Town, she realized the important role that human interaction plays in providing high-quality clinical care.
Dr. Do earned her medical degree at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where she then completed an internal medicine residency. Prior to joining City of Hope, she served as a nocturnist at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts.
