Tommy Sheu, MD, MPH is a board-certified radiation oncologist and Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at City of Hope. As part of partnership between City of Hope and Providence, he treats patients at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton. Dr. Sheu serves as Co-Medical Director for Radiation Oncology at St. Jude Medical Center.
Dr. Sheu has published manuscripts on a variety of cancers with a focus on oncologic outcomes and cost effectiveness and has authored several book chapters on clinical radiation oncology. Dr. Sheu utilizes therapeutic radiation to treat a wide variety of cancers including those of the skin, head and neck, brain and spine, lung, GI tract, genitourinary tract, breast, and soft tissue as well as hematologic malignancies requiring radiation. He uses some of the most advanced radiation techniques including SRS, SBRT, VMAT, SGRT and IGRT with CBCT/kV and triggered imaging to deliver focused radiation while sparing adjacent uninvolved organs and tissue. Dr. Sheu is also working to expand brachytherapy services and the theranostics program at St. Jude Medical Center to provide more treatment options for patients.
Dr. Sheu received his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine and his Master of Public Health at the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston, TX. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of Hawaii and his residency in radiation oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
