Ibrahim Aldoss, M.D., is an associate professor in the Division of Leukemia within the Department of Hematology & Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, California. He serves as physician co‑leader of the leukemia disease team, co‑director of the acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) program, and co‑director of both the hematology tissue bank and the leukemia registry.
His research centers on improving outcomes for patients with high ‑risk acute leukemias. Dr. Aldoss focuses particularly on advancing frontline therapies for high‑risk ALL — including Ph‑like ALL, KMT2A‑rearranged disease, and ALL in older adults — while also exploring early integration of immune‑based and cellular therapies. His work includes investigating mechanisms of resistance, identifying novel therapeutic targets beyond CD19, and deepening the understanding of ALL genetics and pathogenesis. He serves as p rincipal investigator on numerous investigator‑initiated and industry‑sponsored trials involving targeted and cellular therapies.
Dr. Aldoss earned his medical degree from the Jordan University of Science and Technology in Irbid, Jordan. He completed his internal medicine residency at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, followed by a hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles, where he served as chief hematology fellow and clinical instructor. He joined City of Hope in 2014 as a bone marrow transplantation fellow and has since built a distinguished academic and clinical career. Dr. Aldoss has authored more than 230 peer‑reviewed publications and has presented his work at major international scientific
meetings.
