Jennifer Karmouch, Ph.D., is the Director of the Microbiome Core and Co-Director of the Microbiome Program. With extensive experience in molecular genetics and microbiome research, Dr. Karmouch has made significant contributions to understanding the role of the gut microbiome in health and disease. Her research has uncovered novel strategies to modulate the intestinal microbiome, including the use of selective antibiotics, dietary interventions, microbial restoration and targeting bacterial metabolic pathways. These approaches aim to enhance immune reconstitution and improve clinical outcomes in patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation.
