Wei Li, M.D., is an associate clinical professor of anesthesiology at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte and a board-certified anesthesiologist, working closely with each patient’s cancer care team to ensure that treatment is administered as comfortably and safely as possible.
Dr. Li earned her medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine in Florida, then completed an internship in internal medicine at Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago and a residency in anesthesiology and critical care at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Prior to joining City of Hope, she worked at Foothill Presbyterian Hospital in Glendora, where she was nominated for the organization’s “physician of the year” award in 2023.
Dr. Li enjoys working in the wider community, having organized smoking cessation seminars for Asian-American communities in California and volunteered at free clinics for migrant farm workers. In addition to English, Dr. Li speaks Mandarin. In her free time, she enjoys travel, the performing arts and spending time with her family.
