Wei Liu, Ph.D., came from China and acquired his doctorate degree in immunology from Peking University in 2012. Before coming to City of Hope, he worked as an assistant professor at Hebei Medical University’s School of Basic Medicine; his work primarily focused on cancer immunology. Dr. Liu joined the Department of Systems Biology at Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope in October 2019 as a visiting scholar. He is currently conducting research in the area of breast cancer biology with a focus on the mechanism of breast cancer cell metastasis.
