PGY1 Resident
Alan Flores, Pharm.D., received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences at The University of Florida and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Southern California. During his time in pharmacy school, he interned at USC Norris Cancer Center where he gained an interest in hematology/oncology. During his time at City of Hope, he is looking forward to building fundamental skills as a pharmacist while learning more about the world of hematology/oncology. In his free time, he enjoys hiking with his dog, listening to music, exercising, and trying out new restaurants.

PGY1 Resident
Pollyanna Leung, Pharm.D., received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California San Francisco School of Pharmacy. During pharmacy school in a hematology rotation, she became interested in the wide range of care given to stem cell transplant recipients, from guiding a patient through a smooth course of transplant to managing difficult complications. As a PGY1 resident at City of Hope, she is looking forward to strengthening her foundation in an acute care setting and also learning different practices in hematology/oncology. In her free time, she enjoys music, learning to bake, and exploring different sceneries in Southern California.

Isabelle Ngo, Pharm.D., received her Bachelor of Science degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of California, Irvine and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of California, San Diego Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. During pharmacy school, she interned at both Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas in Encinitas, CA and Med-Rx Pharmacy and Compounding in Vista, CA. As a PGY1 resident at City of Hope, she is looking forward to getting more acute care experience as well as expand her interest in hematology/oncology. In her free time, she loves playing with her dogs, watching movies/TV shows, reading fiction books, and spending time with friends and family.

Claire Carlson, MS, Pharm.D., received her Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biology and physiology and her Master of Science degree in Biology from California State University Long Beach. She then received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California, San Francisco. During her PGY1 residency at University of California San Diego Health, she furthered her interest in oncology therapeutics and looks forward to continuing her training as a PGY2 resident in hematology/oncology at City of Hope National Medical Center. Her professional interests include hematopoietic stem cell transplant, investigational drug services, immune cell therapy, and research. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, spending time with friends and family, exploring new food spots, hiking, and traveling.

PGY2 Hematology/Oncology Resident
Klara Kim, Pharm.D. completed her undergraduate degree and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of California, Riverside and obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of the Pacific, Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy. During her time in pharmacy school, she interned at an inpatient psychiatric hospital in San Diego where she also did her clinical experiential training. She completed her PGY1 residency training at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and obtained a teaching certificate at USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. As a PGY2 hematology/oncology pharmacy resident at City of Hope, she is excited to gain more exposure to complex and challenging disease-states within hematology and oncology and to further her research experiences. Her clinical practice interests include hematologic malignancies, cellular immunotherapies, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. In her free time she enjoys running and going to the gym, attending concerts/music festivals, and playing with her dog Luna.

Sara Kurd-Misto, Pharm.D., earned her Pharm.D. from Chapman University School of Pharmacy. She completed a managed care PGY1 pharmacy residency at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento. As a PGY2 resident, she is looking forward to exploring medication safety at City of Hope and Becton, Dickinson and Company. In her free time, Sara enjoys going to the beach, working out, and spending time with her three cats.

PGY2 Medication-Use Safety and Policy Resident
Tiffany Nguyen, Pharm.D., completed a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Western University of Health Sciences. She completed her PGY1 Residency at City of Hope and continues her career at City of Hope as a PGY2 MUSP resident in collaboration with Chapman University. Tiffany is eager to expand her experience in pharmacy administration, safe practices regarding medications in oncology, and health system policies. Outside of work, she enjoys playing with her dog (Bob), trying new foods, reading, and traveling.
