PGY1 Resident
Christian Santamaria, Pharm.D., received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California San Francisco School of Pharmacy and his Bachelor of Science degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of California, Irvine. During pharmacy school, he interned at UCSF Medical Center where he grew an immense interest in the treatment of immunocompromised patients while working in the solid organ transplant unit. As a PGY1 resident at City of Hope, he is looking forward to expanding his knowledge in oncology and honing his clinical skills. His professional interests include hematology/oncology and bone marrow/blood stem cell transplant. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Tiffany Nguyen, Pharm.D, received her Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Western University of Health Sciences. During her pharmacy school career, she interned at Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina, CA. As a PGY1 resident at City of Hope, she is looking forward to getting more acute care experience as well as expand on her interest in hematology/oncology, specifically in leukemia and lymphoma. In her free time, she loves playing with her dog, reading fantasy/fiction books, exploring new foods, and traveling.

PGY2 Resident
Purav Mehta, Pharm.D., received his bachelor’s degree in neurobiology and economics at University of California, Davis and received his Pharm.D. at University of the Pacific School of Pharmacy. During his pharmacy school experience he interned at Walgreens and completed his pharmacy experiential learning in the Bay Area. He completed his PGY1 at El Camino Health in Mountain View, CA, a community based acute care hospital, where he developed a keen interest in oncology therapeutics and pain management. As a PGY2 resident in hematology/oncology, he is excited to gain exposure to areas such as bone marrow transplant, CAR-T cell therapy and ambulatory medical oncology clinics. During his free time, he enjoys going to the gym, watching new movies and exploring new places in southern California.

Cynthia Fu, Pharm.D., received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California San Francisco School of Pharmacy and her Bachelor of Science degree in human biology from the University of California Santa Cruz. During pharmacy school, she interned at Walgreens Specialty Clinic in San Francisco. She completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency and is continuing as a PGY2 resident in hematology/oncology at City of Hope National Medical Center at Duarte, California. Her professional interests include hematology/oncology, hematopoietic stem cell transplant, and immune cell therapy. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, doing home yoga, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
