How to Apply

Applications are due May 1, 2024. All components of the application should be completed through the Residency and Fellowship Physical Therapy Central Application System (RF-PTCAS).
 
A complete application includes:
  • Resume
  • Three signed letters of recommendation (new graduates must include a letter of recommendation from at least one clinical instructor)
  • A cover letter that answers the following questions:
    • Why are you interested in participating in the City of Hope Oncologic Physical Therapy Residency?
    • What do you hope to achieve during your residency year?
    • What are your five-year goals and how will the residency contribute to you achieving these goals?

Requirements

Graduates of APTA-accredited entry-level DPT programs may apply to the program. Recent graduates, as well as experienced clinicians, are encouraged to apply. If the applicant has less than one year of experience working or is newly graduated, one letter of recommendation is required to come from a clinical instructor.  Select candidates will be invited on campus for a panel interview in June.
 
Residents must have a valid California Physical Therapy License to participate in the residency program. Applicants taking the licensure exam in July will be considered. 
 
Program tuition is $1,500 which covers over 32 contact hours/3.2 continuing education units approved by the Physical Therapy Board of California. Additional education is included in the residency curriculum with over 300 hours of structured learning.
