Andrew Nguyen, M.D., is an assistant clinical professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology in the Department of Surgery at City of Hope. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of California San Diego, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude. After attending medical school at New York University School of Medicine, he received his surgical training at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, followed by a complex surgical oncology fellowship at City of Hope. Dr. Nguyen was awarded a UCLA-CURE NIH T32 Training Grant and the Gerald S. Levey Surgical Research Award. His research work has centered on dendritic cell biology and targeting MicroRNA-regulated networks in pancreatic cancer. Dr. Nguyen sees general surgical oncology patients, including melanoma, sarcoma and gastrointestinal cancers at City of Hope’s South Bay location.
