From the start, Christine Glaser M.D., knew she wanted to help patients during the most challenging times in their lives. “Being a physician to me is more than a career, it is a calling,” she said. “I am most passionate about end-of-life care and also care of the elderly.” Her twin goals are to provide the best care possible and develop new methods to improve palliative and hospice care for all patients.
 
Dr. Glaser earned her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. She continued her training with an internship at University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno, Nevada, followed by an internal medicine residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she stayed to complete a fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine. Along the way, she earned nearly a dozen awards for research, clinical integrity and community service.
 
Dr. Glaser feels honored to work at City of Hope and plans to contribute her special expertise. “I have a special interest in how to better integrate palliative care into the care of cancer patients, as well as complex symptom management for these patients."
