Esophageal Cancer Research Projects
Our clinicians and researchers frequently collaborate to develop and evaluate new therapies designed to improve survival and quality of life.
Some of our current research projects include:
- Evaluating telomelysin and definitive chemoradiation for patients with locally advanced esophageal and gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma who aren’t surgery candidates
- Assessing M6620 and irinotecan in patients with progressive TP53 mutant gastric and gastroesophageal junction cancer
- Analyzing gastrointestinal specimens prospectively to evaluate genetic and epigenetic markers
Esophageal Cancer Clinical Trials
City of Hope patients have access to a wide variety of clinical trials, ranging from new chemotherapy and targeted therapies to novel surgical techniques and new radiation approaches — all focused on enhancing treatment, detection and prevention of esophageal cancer.
