Fadi Makdesi, M.D., F.A.C.P., C.H.C.Q.M., is a hospitalist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Phoenix, where he works closely with patients who are admitted as inpatients due to an illness, injury or other health issue affecting their cancer treatment goals.
Dr. Makdesi’s goal is to help patients receive effective, prompt care that allows them to resume cancer treatment and return home. He collaborates with patients, their loved ones and their multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate each person’s care and see that his or her medical needs are met.
After earning his medical degree at Damascus University in Damascus, Syria, Dr. Makdesi completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga. A board-certified internist, Dr. Makdesi has more than 15 years’ experience in a variety of clinical settings and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians. He also holds certifications in health care quality and management and in clinical lipidology.
