Farshid Sadeghi, M.D., is the medical director of the Genitourinary Cancer Center and a urologic oncologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Phoenix, where he works with patients diagnosed with a variety of genitourinary conditions, including kidney, bladder and prostate cancer. He is a board-certified urologist with more than 25 years of experience in cancer care and research.
Dr. Sadeghi joined City of Hope in 2016, bringing his expertise in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgeries to patients with a wide range of cancer types. He is dedicated to ensuring patients receive compassionate, innovative care that optimizes both their health outcomes and their quality of life during and after treatment. Many of the procedures he offers help patients recover more quickly with fewer side effects.
After studying biochemistry at Harvard College, Dr. Sadeghi earned his medical degree at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He went on to complete seven years of professional training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, taking on both a surgical internship and a urology residency and gaining recognition as Outstanding Resident Teacher. He also completed advanced training in laparoscopic and robotic surgeries in Brussels, Belgium, and Paris, France.
A gifted teacher-scholar, Dr. Sadeghi has held multiple academic appointments and has published several significant papers in the field of urology, including reports on the use of immunotherapy for prostate cancer.
