More than 850 professionals gather at City of Hope’s International Home Furnishings Industry (IHFI) Spirit of Life® gala in Greensboro, North Carolina, each year. This year’s event was the culmination of a campaign that raised more than $2 million for research and care, with a focus on pediatric research, led by three honorees from the home furnishings industry.
IHFI honorees Jerry Dittmer, President and CEO of Flexsteel Industries; Tim Newlin, Vice President of Strategic Development at Flexsteel; and Matt Harrison, President of KUKA Home North America, toured the Duarte campus and met with City of Hope researchers earlier this year. IHFI has proudly raised money on City of Hope’s behalf for nearly 60 years. In total, the group has raised more than $100 million for cancer and diabetes research.
