Aaron Lewis, M.D.

I couldn't ask for a better career than one in which I can devote my full energy to care and treat patients who are traversing the unfamiliar path of a cancer diagnosis.

Aaron G. Lewis, M.D., is a board-certified surgeon broadly trained across all aspects of surgical oncology with a particular interest in complex gastrointestinal surgery and endocrine surgery. He has training and certification in the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System.

Dr. Lewis' broad training has cultivated many clinical research interests, including understanding factors that affect survival and quality of life in patients with advanced neuroendocrine tumors and improving the care provided to frail and elderly surgical patients, which he calls an "underrepresented population in clinical trials."

Dr. Lewis joined the City of Hope staff after completing a fellowship here where he was also a recipient of the Values in Action Award for compassion. He received his medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, served his internship at University of California San Francisco and residency at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California. While at Huntington, he took part in the Phil Simon Clinic Tanzania project.
