Debra A. Wong, M.D., is a board-certified medical oncologist and medical director for AccessHopeTM, where she leads organizational development and integration of clinical strategy. She maintains broad expertise in solid tumor oncology and advocates for integrating supportive care and quality-of-life measures into precision oncology care. For her humanity and whole-person approach, she has earned recognition among peers and patients alike. Always embracing innovation, Dr. Wong helps lead City of Hope and AccessHope in democratizing value-based, quality-driven oncology care, so those with cancer can seamlessly access expert insights likely to improve their outcomes, without leaving home and their local support system. Dr. Wong is excited to further develop novel technology-enhanced care delivery systems that improve the patient and caregiver experience, working with clinical partners and the health technology sector to broaden the scope of supportive care resources. Dr. Wong is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine with board certifications in medical oncology, hospice and palliative medicine, and internal medicine. She completed her fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Mayo Clinic , following a fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Wong earned her medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and is a licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons.
