Fairouz Chibane, M.D., M.B.A., is an accomplished surgical oncologist specializing in breast cancer, melanoma, robotic surgery and complex oncologic procedures. Inspired by her father’s dedication as a physician, Dr. Chibane pursued medicine to combine compassionate care with scientific rigor. She discovered her passion for surgical oncology during her general surgery residency, drawn to its multidisciplinary approach and emphasis on treating the whole patient.
Dr. Chibane earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed her general surgery residency at Augusta University, Medical College of Georgia. She further advanced her expertise through a surgical oncology fellowship at City of Hope and holds a Master of Business Administration from Augusta University. Her clinical philosophy centers on integrity, ensuring patients feel heard, respected and fully informed throughout their care journey.
Recognized for her excellence, Dr. Chibane received the Thomas R. Gadaez Intern of the Year Award and won the Best Resident Paper Competition at the Moretz Surgical Society. She is deeply committed to advancing surgical education and fostering patient trust. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, reading historical fiction and fantasy, and spending time with family.
