Lei Lei, M.D., is a dedicated physician specializing in endocrinology. Dr. Lei's journey into medicine began with a fascination for the intricate feedback loops that regulate hormones during medical school at Ohio State University. This interest was further solidified during residency at Case Western Reserve University, where Dr. Lei witnessed the systemic complications of metabolic diseases. Dr. Lei's commitment to endocrinology was strengthened by the desire to improve patients' quality of life through outpatient care.
Dr. Lei attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with Highest Distinction and receiving the Chancellor's Carolina Scholars award. During fellowship at UCLA, Dr. Lei presented findings on a weight loss program incorporating video-based virtual shared medical appointments, earning the Jeffrey R. Garber, M.D., Fund Award at the 31st AACE Annual Meeting.
Dr. Lei is passionate about patient care, remembering that patients are someone's loved ones, which motivates going the extra mile. Dr. Lei is inspired by patients who make positive changes in their lives, particularly those with diabetes. Outside of work, Dr. Lei enjoys cooking, raising plants, exploring new foods and cities, and spending time with family. Dr. Lei speaks Mandarin Chinese.
