Michael Kahn, M.D., M.A., is an assistant clinical professor specializing in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at City of Hope® Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center in Irvine, California. Dr. Kahn initially pursued a career in teaching high school English, but after several years, he recalled his parents' teachings about using one's strengths to make the world a better place and decided to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming a physician.

Dr. Kahn feels a deep connection to his community by treating patients with lung infections and occupational/environmental lung diseases, as these conditions tend to impact the most vulnerable patients. He is also passionate about caring for patients in the ICU, guiding patients and families through some of the worst days of their lives by helping them make informed decisions about their care.

Dr. Kahn is active in medical education, teaching and leading workshops both locally and nationally. Outside of work, he enjoys playing recreational sports with his family and cooking/hosting for his loved ones.
