Mohammad Javid Ghomashi, MD, is a hospital-based nocturnist who works overnight at City of Hope® Orange County's cancer specialty hospital, addressing patients’ urgent medical needs. This specialty is particularly important for inpatient cancer care, as it ensures continuous, safe treatment and rapid response to acute complications at all times.
Dr. Ghomashi’s published research encompasses breast cancer–related lymphedema, medical student migration and cardiovascular pharmacology, contributing valuable insights and guidance to each field. He has been recognized for his presentations on lymphedema following breast cancer surgery, as well as for his commitment to mentoring future medical professionals.
Before joining City of Hope, Dr. Ghomashi was a hospitalist-nocturnist at Clovis Community Medical Center and Community Regional Medical Center.
He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut and earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Obstetrics degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
Dr. Ghomashi is fluent in Persian.
