Peter T. Nguyen, D.O., M.S., combines his passion for emergency medicine with specialized cancer care at City of Hope® Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, where he provides rapid assessment of acute symptoms for patients at critical moments.
By combining expertise in urgent care with a deep understanding of oncology, Dr. Nguyen ensures patients benefit from swift recognition and management of cancer-related complications, along with seamless coordination among medical oncology, radiation, surgery and supportive services.
“I find it incredibly meaningful to be the one who can step in, stabilize their condition, ease their fears and connect them to the right care,” he says.
Dr. Nguyen is a board-certified osteopathic emergency medicine physician and has held clinical leadership roles across Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers throughout Southern California. He is recognized as a former chief resident and Resident of the Year and earned awards such as the ACOEP Clinical Pathological Case Competition. Dr. Nguyen holds a medical degree from Midwestern University, and a master’s degree in bioethics from Albany Medical College and was named on the dean’s honor list at University of California Riverside. Outside of medicine, he pursues fitness, cooking, music, travel and adventure.
