Saba Hamiduzzaman, M.D., is a widely respected pulmonologist and critical care specialist at City of Hope® Orange County's Lennar Foundation Cancer Center and cancer specialty hospital where she focuses on critically ill patients in intensive care. She chose to work at City of Hope to be in an environment where patients with complex needs can have access to a multidisciplinary approach that involves the highest levels of expertise.
A noted researcher, Dr. Hamiduzzaman’s work spans gastroenterology, sleep medicine, and pulmonary care innovation. She has presented nationally on diverse clinical topics, including malignancy-induced lactic acidosis, pulmonary efficiency improvement, and unique lung cancer presentations. Her oral presentations have addressed connective tissue diseases, asthma immunology, and azathioprine-induced lymphoproliferative disorder, earning her first place at the American College of Chest Physicians conference.
Dr. Hamiduzzaman previously served as a physician reviewer for veteran disabilities in Nevada and as a staff physician at Palomar Hospital in Escondido, California. She was an intensivist at Loma Linda University, where she was also assistant professor of Medicine and director of the Outpatient Pulmonary Clinic.
She served as a fellowship and was chief fellow at the Department of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Kentucky, where she also completed her residency. Dr. Hamiduzzaman earned her medical degree from American University of Antigua.
