Sabrina Hardy, M.D., is an assistant professor of medical oncology and therapeutics research at City of Hope® Thousand Oaks & Simi Valley. Dr. Hardy takes a compassionate approach to cancer care by educating patients about their options, making collaborative decisions and employing innovative therapies to craft personalized treatment plans. Inspired to become an oncologist by her mother’s battle with breast cancer, Dr. Hardy finds it particularly rewarding to build long-term relationships with her patients and their loved ones.
After attending medical school at Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland, Dr. Hardy completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she was recognized as “most academic resident.” She then completed a three-year hematology/oncology fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
Dr. Hardy's research includes studies and peer-reviewed articles on pancreatic islet cell transplantation, molecular-genetic therapies and breast cancer. She has given more than 35 poster presentations at multiple conferences in Poland and the United States and founded the High Value Care Curriculum at UAB.
