Sepehr Shabani, M.D., is an assistant clinical professor in the Division of Head and Neck Surgery at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte , where he specializes in using advanced techniques, including many robotic and minimally invasive approaches, to treat multiple types of head and neck cancer. Dr. Shabani believes that patients must be active advocates and decision makers in their cancer care journey.
After receiving his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison, Dr. Shabani completed a residency in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, followed by a fellowship in advanced head and neck surgical oncology, transoral robotic surgery and microvascular reconstruction at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.
An accomplished physician-scholar with multiple publications to his name, Dr. Shabani is a member of professional associations, including the American Head and Neck Society, the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the Byron Bailey Surgical Society. In addition to English, Dr. Shabani speaks fluent Farsi.
