Stephen Lynch, M.D., is the Chief of Medicine and President of Medical Staff at City of Hope® Cancer Center Phoenix, where he serves as a primary care and intake physician working with patients who have recently been diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Lynch’s compassionate approach to care centers on empathy and education, ensuring patients and families understand the journey ahead and receive high-quality care and support in a comfortable environment.
Dr. Lynch earned his medical degree at Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, then went on to complete a residency in family medicine at Virtua-West Jersey Family Practice in Voorhees, New Jersey, where he served as chief resident. Prior to joining City of Hope, Dr. Lynch worked in private practice in Florida, served veteran patients at a VA clinic in North Carolina and volunteered as a clinical instructor at several institutions. He is board-certified in family medicine and holds a medical license from both Arizona and North Carolina.
