Aric Blom, P.A.-C., is a physician assistant at City of Hope® Cancer Center Chicago, where he works closely with patients and their other clinical providers to offer immediate care, plan and administer chemotherapy, order and manage laboratory tests and prescribe medications to help manage cancer- or treatment-related side effects.
Blom is committed to treating each patient as an individual with unique needs and concerns, and he particularly enjoys spending time with his patients, discussing and understanding how to meet those needs. He joined City of Hope in 2010 after serving as a pain management physician assistant and a cardiology/internal medicine physician assistant in both Wisconsin and New York state.
After his undergraduate studies in biology and psychology, Blom earned his master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois, completing multiple clinical rotations during this time. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and has been certified by the American Heart Association to provide basic life support, advanced cardiac life support and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
