Why City of Hope: I chose to work at COH because healthcare has been a significant part of my life since I was young. At the age of 12, I faced the challenges of being diagnosed with a rare and largely unknown kidney disease. During that time, I experienced firsthand the impact of compassionate, dedicated care. I am deeply grateful for the doctors, nurses, support staff, and medical treatments that helped guide me through that difficult period and allowed me to become who I am today. That experience shaped my appreciation for healthcare and inspired my desire to contribute to an organization like COH, where patient-centered care, support, and innovation truly make a difference in people’s lives.

Outside of work: Outside of work, I enjoy indoor bouldering, exploring new coffee shops, and chauffeuring my two boys around-usually with K-pop and Disney music playing in the background.
Why City of Hope: My path into healthcare is rooted in the values I learned growing up—service, humility, and gratitude. Early in my career at the front desk, I experienced the most human side of care: patients and families placing their trust in City of Hope during moments of fear and vulnerability. What drew me to City of Hope then—and what continues to anchor my commitment today—is its mission to prioritize patients over profit, ensuring care is driven by compassion and purpose rather than margins.
Today, in Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Audit, I work behind the scenes to protect that trust. By identifying risks early, strengthening systems, and reinforcing accountability, I help support care that is safe, ethical, and resilient. City of Hope’s mission aligns with the values my parents instilled in me, and I carry those lessons into every decision I make—working to ensure that patients remain at the center of everything we do.
