Annette Mercurio, M.P.H., M.C.H.E.S., is director of programs in the Department of Supportive Care Medicine at City of Hope in Duarte, California. She directs City of Hope’s Patient Navigation Program, biopsychosocial screening and Child Life, as well as patient and family education. Mercurio is an expert in patient and family education and a founder of the national Cancer Patient Education Network.
Mercurio is the founder and co-chair of City of Hope’s Patient and Family Advisory Council and liaison to El Concilio, the Spanish-speaking council. She has presented on patient and family education and engagement at numerous national and international conferences.
