Larry Ladi, M.D., is a medical intensivist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Phoenix, where he works with patients in the intensive care unit to ensure they receive expert care. With more than 20 years’ experience in critical care, hospital medicine and emergency medicine, Dr. Ladi is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for patients suffering from cancer-related acute illness, as well as many other types of acute diseases. He also offers pulmonary consultations and specializes in therapeutic and robotic bronchoscopy, life support techniques and resuscitation.
After attending the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Guadalajara, Mexico, Dr. Ladie earned his Fifth Pathway Certificate from the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He went on to complete a family medicine residency at the Genesis Family Medicine Residency Program in Davenport, Iowa, followed by an internal medicine residency at the Maine Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine in Portland, Maine. He also completed three fellowships: two at Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in sleep medicine and pulmonary disease/critical care medicine; and one in interventional pulmonology at The Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
Dr. Ladi is a recognized physician-scholar with multiple articles and book chapters to his name, and he’s held academic positions at institutions across Texas, including the University of Houston College of Medicine, Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Wharton County Junior College. He is a member of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Thoracic Society, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology, among other professional associations.
