Amy Kristensen, M.D., M.Sc., is a board-certified emergency medicine physician at City of Hope® Cancer Center Phoenix. With her person-centered philosophy of care, Dr. Kristensen ensures that patients in our Phoenix hospital feel listened to and that their medical needs are treated with urgency and compassion.
Dr. Kristensen earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix, Arizona, receiving a certificate of distinction in global health, and pursued a residency in emergency medicine at Phoenix’s Abrazo Health Network. Dr. Kristensen also holds a Master of Science degree in global health and public policy, which she completed at the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom.
A member of professional organizations including the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the Society of Refugee Healthcare Providers, Dr. Kristensen is committed to advocating for the health and well-being of refugees and asylum seekers. To this end, she has spent many years contributing to initiatives by organizations including the Physicians for Human Rights Asylum Network.
