Ana Emiliano, M.D, is a board-certified endocrinologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, where she works closely with patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders. Her approach to care is founded on compassion, respect and shared decision-making.
Inspired by her love of both science and service, Dr. Emiliano earned her medical degree at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in her native Brazil and completed a combined residency in internal medicine and psychiatry at the University of Rochester’s Strong Memorial Hospital. She then completed a fellowship in endocrinology at Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore and a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular genetics at the Rockefeller University in New York City, where she also earned a master’s degree in clinical investigation and translational science.
A physician-scholar with multiple peer-reviewed publications, she’s received awards from both the National Institutes of Health and Rockefeller University. Prior to joining City of Hope, Dr. Emiliano held positions at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center. In addition to English, she speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese.
