Assistant Clinical Professor, Division of Lymphoma, Department of Hematology and Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation
Annie Xiao, M.D., is a hematologist and an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Hematology and Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation’s Division of Lymphoma at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte. She brings extensive training in hematology/oncology and knowledge of the latest therapeutic approaches, including stem cell transplantation and immunotherapies.
She was drawn to a career in medicine while working part time in a cancer research lab during college, an experience that introduced her to cancer research and the scientific progress being made in the field. But it was her early experiences working with patients and families affected by cancer that inspired her to become a physician and make a more personal impact.
Dr. Xiao received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago. She then completed her residency in internal medicine at UCLA in Los Angeles and her fellowship in hematology/oncology at City of Hope in Duarte.
She is board-certified in internal medicine and oncology and has published numerous articles on cancer, hematology, lymphoma, stem cell transplantation and immunotherapy.
