Nahid Rashid, M.D.
Bone Marrow Transplantation
Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Hematology & Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation
Staff Physician, Kaiser Permanente
Dr. Nahid Rashid attended medical school at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she was selected to join the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She graduated cum laude and completed her internal medicine residency at Washington University in St. Louis. During her residency, Dr. Rashid had the opportunity to work in the bone marrow transplant unit and developed a passion for working with patients with hematologic malignancies. She then completed her hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Washington’s Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. During her residency and fellowship, Dr. Rashid published many studies evaluating outcomes in patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation with a specific interest in patients with graft-versus-host disease.
Dr. Rashid initially envisioned a career in research, but after working with patients who had developed significant toxicities with stem cell transplant and CAR-T cell therapy, she ultimately decided to devote her career to clinical care.
Dr. Rashid is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology. In addition to caring for patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplant and CAR-T cell therapy, she is also a sub-investigator in many transplant and cellular therapy clinical trials. She is also a member of the City of Hope IRB.
