As a palliative care medicine specialist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Atlanta, Nathan R. Jones, M.D., provides compassionate, evidence-based care for patients with advanced cancer or with cancer that is not responding well to treatment. His goal is to offer each patient the additional support and medical care they need to manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life, from strategies to reduce acute pain to helping establish advanced directives and clarify end-of-life care goals.
After earning his medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, with training in St. Martin and Miami, Dr. Jones completed a family medicine residency at the Prisma Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine Seneca Family Medicine Residency program. He then pursued specialized training in hospice and palliative medicine through a fellowship at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, Georgia.
Dr. Jones is board-certified in both family medicine and hospice and palliative care medicine.
