Jr. Medical Investigators Camp
Are you curious about what it's like to work in medicine or healthcare?
This week-long summer camp gives middle school students the chance to explore medical science through hands-on, interactive experiences. Junior investigators will work together to solve a health mystery of their own, just like real clinicians and researchers!
Throughout the week, students will:
- Perform simulated diagnostic tests inspired by those used in hospitals and labs
- Learn about how the body works through activities on the nervous system, blood, and immune response
- Explore medical imaging technologies, including MRI and CT scans
- Collaborate in teams to analyze patient data and recommend treatment options
This program is perfect for students who want to explore what a career in medicine might look like while having fun with science. No prior experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to learn!

We have hope that by bringing together students and community members, we can spark a long-lasting love for science and encourage more people to pursue STEM education and careers.

We run several different programs for local middle school students, including class visits, field trips, Saturday Science Days, and our Junior Medical Investigators summer camp.

STEP is excited to offer a variety of summer and academic year programs for high school students, such as our VERT program and the Science and Nutrition Summer Research Program.
