Amina Naqvi, M.D., joined City of Hope® in 2024. As medical oncologist at City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta, Dr. Naqvi treats all types and stages of malignancies, with specialized focus on breast cancer and benign hematologic disorders. As part of the Women’s Cancer Center at City of Hope Atlanta, Dr. Naqvi works with a multidisciplinary team of experts dedicated to cancers that primarily impact women, providing services from screening and diagnosis through survivorship.
Passionate about breakthrough treatments for cancer, Dr. Naqvi was drawn to City of Hope for its reputation as a leading-edge research institution, where she could bring individualized cancer care to the frontline to serve patients and advocate for expanding clinical trials to represent diverse populations in an equitable manner.
After receiving her medical degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Naqvi completed a residency in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she served as chief fellow.
Dr. Naqvi speaks English, Urdu and Hindi, and is conversational in Punjabi. She is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
