When you refer a patient to us, you can expect:
- Rapid scheduling, with appointments available in as little as 24 hours, and complete diagnostic workup and treatment plans provided within one week or less
- A multidisciplinary team of oncology experts working together under one roof, including medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pain management physicians, genetic counselors and supportive care staff
- Immediate access to advanced treatments and technologies, such as bispecific T cell engager therapies, chimeric antigen receptor cell therapy, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, radiopharmaceuticals and theranostics
- A longstanding precision medicine program with access to precise, comprehensive genomic sequencing panels and a unique infrastructure to improve access to targeted therapies
- Fast turnaround times for diagnostics and labs, with an average two- to four-hour radiology turnaround and 48-hour pathology turnaround

Meet Our Illinois Oncology Experts
Our physicians treat all solid and hematologic cancers, including early and advanced-stage disease, as well as recurrent and metastatic disease. Our clinical team is backed by a national network of nearly 2,100 physicians and researchers working together so we can achieve better outcomes.
As experts in their field, many of our physicians are primary investigators for clinical trials and hold faculty positions both within City of Hope and externally.
Dr. Stadler is the Chief Clinical Officer for Chicago-area locations, and specializes in prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancer treatment.
Dr. Khan has strong expertise in treating breast and lung cancers. In his leadership role, he helps ensure patients receive high quality, safe care.
Chief of Surgical Services in Chicago, Dr. Pelletier is an expert in complex and minimally invasive surgical techniques for breast cancer reconstruction.
Dr. Rodriguez has over 20 years of experience treating blood cancer and is an expert in bone marrow transplantation. He has performed over 2,500 transplant procedures.
Dr. Shah is co-director of the Chicago Breast Cancer Center, and specializes in treating breast cancer with radiation therapy, including hypofractionated approaches.
Dr. Winchester is co-director of the Chicago Breast Cancer Center and has nearly three decades of experience in breast cancer surgery.

Cancer Screenings in Illinois
Due to high patient volumes at local hospital systems, many patients at high risk of developing cancer are unable to keep routine cancer screening appointments or experience delays. Because more treatment options are often available when the disease is detected early, we offer expediated screenings for:

- Colon cancer
- Barrett’s esophagus
Upon receiving a referral, patients can typically be seen within one week, and results are often provided in as little as 24 to 48 hours after screening.
