Our medical oncology team will develop a personalized treatment plan based on your specific cancer type and stage, while also considering your personal goals and beliefs.
During your initial consultation, your medical oncologist will discuss your options and whether any additional tests, scans or referrals for other cancer services are appropriate.
Our Downtown Chicago location offers onsite image-guided radiation therapy, which is designed to reduce radiation exposure to healthy organs and tissue.
Our extended treatment hours and a convenient location just off Michigan Avenue offers you the flexibility to receive radiation close to home or work.
While our primary focus is on cancer care, we also provide radiation therapy for certain noncancerous conditions, such as keloids, refractory arthritis and Dupuytren’s disease.
If you require chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy or other intravenous treatments, we offer outpatient infusion therapy in bays that are specifically designed for relaxation and comfort.
Additionally, we offer nononcology infusions for a variety of diseases and ailments, including multiple sclerosis, osteoporosis, benign hematology, allergies and more.
We offer treatments for all blood cancers, including leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma. Our hematologic oncologist, an expert in blood cancers, has more than 20 years’ experience treating patients in the Chicagoland area.
Advanced services, such as stem cell transplantations or CAR T cell therapy, are performed at our hospital in Zion.
If you require specialty surgery services, such as breast, brain, urologic or gynecologic cancer surgeries, our nearby hospital, located approximately 10 miles east of I-94 in Lake County, is available to you.
Our multidisciplinary team of surgeons offers advanced treatment options such as oncoplastic breast reconstruction, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, neurosurgery and robotic surgery.
At City of Hope Cancer Care Downtown Chicago, we provide an integrative approach to cancer care. That means we provide oncology services to treat your cancer, while also supporting your strength, stamina and quality of life with evidence-informed options, such as nutritional support, behavioral health services and physical and occupational therapy. Supportive care services are available in our Downtown Chicago location, as well as by telehealth.
Planning a Trip to Downtown Chicago
City of Hope Cancer Care Downtown Chicago is conveniently located off Michigan Avenue in the Streeterville neighborhood. Validated parking is available at the Cityfront Garage at 240 Upper E. Illinois St., just east of our location. Public parking is available near the top of the garage.
To get to our location, pedestrian elevators are in the southwest corner of the parking garage. Once you exit, walk west on Illinois Street and cross St. Clair Street. The entrance to City of Hope will be on your right.
Our staff will validate parking for the CityFront Garage after your appointment(s) for the day are complete.

Dr. King is an expert in advanced radiation therapy, and is skilled at treating multiple cancer types and stages, including breast, prostate and lung cancers.

Dr. Rodriguez has over 20 years of experience treating blood cancer and is an expert in bone marrow transplantation. He has performed over 2,500 transplant procedures.
