Collectively, our leaders focus on expanding access to leading-edge cancer technologies and treatments, recruiting top clinical talent and maintaining high quality and safety standards, all of which help us achieve the best possible outcomes. Leading by example, they work tirelessly to continuously improve the patient experience, focusing on our goal to provide compassionate and personalized care so patients and their loved ones can focus on healing.

Pete Govorchin, M.B.A.
As president of City of Hope Chicago, Pete Govorchin, M.B.A., leads hospital operations and continuously seeks to expand access to innovative treatments for patients. He works closely with local government officials and community groups to expand access to oncology care in the Chicagoland area.

Bethany Garoutte, M.B.A.
Bethany Garoutte, M.B.A., brings over 25 years of experience to her role as chief operating officer at City of Hope Chicago. She oversees a diverse team and manages daily operations in all areas, including business development, clinical departments and strategic initiatives.

R. Lee Piekarz, C.P.A., M.B.A.
R. Lee Piekarz, C.P.A., M.B.A., has over 30 years of experience managing operations and finances for health care facilities across Illinois. As CFO of City of Hope Chicago, he oversees clinical and business operations, drives financial strategy and champions expanded access to care.

Angelina Fakhoury-Siverts, M.S.N., R.N., N.E.A.-B.C.
Angelina Fakhoury-Siverts, M.S.N., R.N., is chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services at City of Hope Chicago, leading a diverse team of nursing professionals in providing expert, compassionate cancer care and championing community engagement and health equity initiatives.

Walter Stadler, M.D., F.A.C.P.
As chief clinical officer at City of Hope Chicago, Dr. Stadler ensures operational excellence in physician recruitment and clinical care, while focusing on expanding access to innovative cancer treatments. He holds over 30 years of experience in academic medicine in the Chicagoland area.

Ajaz M. Khan, M.D., M.B.A., C.P.E.
As president of the medical staff at City of Hope Chicago, Dr. Khan provides leadership to our Illinois medical staff, guides protocols, ensures standard-of-care guidelines are consistently met and exceeded, and helps recruit high-quality physicians.

Janita Pickett-Gordon
Janita Pickett-Gordon, associate vice president of regional philanthropy at City of Hope Chicago, leads fundraising efforts and builds donor relationships to support pioneering cancer research and treatments. She has led the development of philanthropic programs for over 25 years.

Leslie Brewer, M.B.A.
Leslie Brewer M.B.A., associate vice president of marketing at City of Hope Chicago, leads strategic marketing initiatives to support the hospital and clinical locations in Illinois. With two decades of health care leadership, she focuses on growth marketing, digital strategy and patient engagement.
