Neel Sagar Talwar, M.D.
Continuing my career at City of Hope allows me to combine my passion of caring for cancer patients while taking part in leading-edge research and breakthroughs in the field.
Neel Talwar, M.D., calls medicine "the perfect profession," where he can continue his lifelong pursuit of learning while helping others.
Dr. Talwar fed his early passion for learning by studying physiology and neurobiology at University of Maryland. He earned his medical degree at American University of Antigua College of Medicine and continued his training at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and NYU Winthrop Hospital. Along the way he did cancer cell research at the Food and Drug Administration and investigated a potential tuberculosis vaccine at the Aeras Global TB Vaccine Foundation.
The winner of numerous awards during his academic life, Dr. Talwar is excited to begin his medical career at City of Hope. He's eager "to take new scientific breakthroughs and bring them to the clinic to give my patients the best care possible."
