Candace Jackson, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.C., is an assistant clinical professor at City of Hope® Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center and cancer specialty hospital specializing in cardiology with a focus on advanced multimodality cardiac imaging. Dr. Jackson's journey into medicine was driven by her deep interest in human physiology and her desire to care for patients and their families during challenging times. She finds cardiovascular medicine intellectually stimulating and appreciates the opportunity to establish long-term relationships with her patients due to the chronic nature of heart disease.
Dr. Jackson attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where she was selected for membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her internal medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, followed by a cardiology fellowship at the University of California San Diego. She further pursued advanced training in nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT/MRI at Columbia University.
Dr. Jackson is committed to patient-centered care and shared decision-making. She is inspired by her patients' resilience and strength and aims to make them feel safe and trustful when they walk into City of Hope. Dr. Jackson enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, eating good food, and crocheting various items.
